I like the guy I am a fan But this book is very disapointing if you are a fan and cyclist who keeps up with the cycling worldBecause apart from few bright moments like new gossips from races and cycling politics this book has not much to offerat least for me Bought the paper book i should have downloaded the ebook I wouldnt read it again

Ammes necessary for success and how Peter copes with the pressure of high expectation You will feel that sense of elation when crossing the line ahead of the pack and moments of desperation like in when Peter realised he wouldn’t be allowed to challenge for his sixth Tour de France green jersey But what better tonic than to ensure a third year in rainbow – an achievement which may never be repeated again. A really fun read If you are a cycling fan this is a great one to get you through some winter season blues The book is Peter's perspective on the three seasons of winning the UCI World Road Championships with side chapters on his childhood family and the makings of his personal support crew of friends Team Peter It gives insight into how he functions with a race team a what works for him He definitely has a different approach to things than other riders and works with team directors and owners differently but his methods work I was not expecting for him to say so many good things about Oleg Tinkov After having a bad start to the 2015 season and Tinkov pushing him to win everything I assumed there was animosity His first statement on his time with Tinkoff is Oleg Tinkov is a funny bastard in so many ways I also didn't expect him to be so open about his personal disappointment with so many missed wins early in the season In press conferences when asked about how he felt with taking another 2nd place he would say things like 'Well there are a lot of other riders that didn't get 2nd' Shows that Peter as usual isn't always telling you everything when he responds to the pressGood to see that he doesn't shy away from discussing the incident with Cav in 2017 Tour de France and throughout he doesn't strive to raise any controversy The best part of the book may be the Epilogue where he recounts his win of the 2018 Paris RoubaixIf one of the most elite cyclists in the world can carry the motto of 'Why so serious' maybe we all can relax a bit And it might help us do better

My WorldFrom toPeter Sagan achieved the seemingly impossible he won three road race World Championships in a row ensuring his entry into the history books as one of the greatest riders of all timeBut to look at Peter’s record in isolation is to tell only a fraction of his story because Peter doesn’t just win he entertains Every moment in the saddle is an opportunity to express his personality and nobody else has. I didn’t expect any literary masterpiece here In fact my expectations were rock bottom And they were fulfilled The book just reminded me of why I loath these empty biographies and business books Outside of a few sections where the ghost author described Sagan’s insights into what was happening on track it was unreadable Still I gritted my teeth and made it to the finish line
